  2. A risk assessment doesn't eliminate the hazard. It just reduces it.
  3. Overload people with PPE and they'll stop wearing it.
  4. "I'm not going onto sites with a checklist. I'm going to see things I understand from experience." Checklists remind you what to look for but don't teach you how to look.
  5. If you're signing off that something is safe for someone else to touch — touch it yourself first.
